Born, bred and based in Edinburgh with my miniature daschund, Daisy Mayhem and Pippin her rescue kitten.
Having been constantly told to focus on one thing and not just what I want to explore at any one time I decided it was better for my mental health to ignore everyone and just enjoy my journey.
I love a good laugh and after leaving drama college I did a stint as a stand-up comic. Realising that my Bafta was not forthcoming I changed direction and returned to studying. Starting with 2 years of graphic design where I thrived with manipulating images. I then retook my A level Art and passed with an A. Continuing my study adventure with a photography evening class. Finally ending with a 1st for Contemporary Art and Design.
Contemporary art fascinates me. I love that the final piece was created entirely from the artists thought process and the viewer must read between the lines. With that in mind I am proud to consider myself a fan of Tracey Emin, Yoko Ono and Bruce Nauman.
I joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop over 12 years ago and finally found a place I could use my varied knowledge and not have to apologise for going off on a tangent.
